You can solo a champ on any class (ele is hardest in my opinion) but it is highly dependent on the champion. Some champions are just kite monsters that have 1-shot autoattacks; whereas some you have to abuse some mechanic (e.g. moving around a tree to prevent it from hitting you). As for the why: 1. Trailblazers Gear. Condi damage builds lose much less in their damage output from running this or Dire Gear than a power build will for offering comparable toughness and vit via something like Soldier's. 2. Secondary Sustain from traits like Parasitic Contagion, Predator's Cunning or Dance of Death.
What classes would you guys recommend for a solo/duo player. I'm planning on doing both PvE and PvP content. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! 26 Share Sort by: Add a Comment AlteredM1nd • 2 yr. ago I personally recommend Revenant or Necromancer.
Axe/axe BS berserker, scepter/warhorn tempest and DH (similar to meta) solo random champions, condi scourge and condi sb/sb SLB for solo bounties. Also axe/torch/pistol condi mirage works great, but champions often kill clones, making things more difficult. Haven't tested double staff, that probably works better. 1. The 4 classes that benefit with Celestial the most at end game are Guardian, Revenant, Ele, and Mesmer and there also the 4 hardest/boring classes to level generally, you can't go wrong with boosting one of them. Revenant and Guardian both have meta builds for Celestial and Revenant is the only Right now, Warrior remans the easiest to use class. Thief isnt too far, but recieves harsh punishment. Well, they can all self heal. But it sounds like Guardian is what you want. Ele and Ranger is pretty good at self healing beyond skill 6, but they aren't as beefy. I'm assuming dungeon solo, not PvP/WvE/Open World.
Balance needs to be brought to this story for the different builds to make it less of a problem if you plan to solo it. I tried and died and gave up. I have no idea why the hit boxes of the mobs are so high, nor why the instance is not balanced around the spec of the player better.
You can technically roam solo with any build if you're good. There are tons of videos showing 1vX for engineer, mesmer, thief, etc. If you're up against a halfway decent player and you're not up-to-par, it doesn't matter what class you choose -- you'll have a hard time. zgtRL3.
