I myself almost jumped up in excitement to the fact that MS was giving us BC:2 for free for the month of October. I spent over 700 hours on this game.
Keep in mind that the game isn't just being delisted, the EA master server is being pulled on 8 December this year. Thankfully, the community already has a new master server up and going, so the game will continue to survive. Moreover, this new master server does NOT require a serial key.
Go to your confirmation email with the order number on it. The site you need is on ea.com. It MAY be support.ea.com but I can't remember if that's what it was.
Do any of you guys play Bad Company 1? BF Legacy. I’m a BC1 fanatic, it’s by far my favorite game, and I play it whenever people are online. Not only is the campaign super fun and sandboxy, but the multiplayer maps have a fantastic design, with great balance and a super fun mix of long-distance and close quarters fights.
Perhaps the biggest headache for me on setting this up is to get Procon working properly. I managed to make it work out of pure luck though, before I used to setup the games with a carefully predefined game settings, rules and maplists. One mistake on those could mean having to kill the fun a bit so you could config and restart everything. The game runs well and as i wrote before i could play online matches but for some reason after this free weekend i couldn't play anymore. #5. Play each class to their strengths - revive teammates, repair vehicles, spot enemies and resupply allies. Capture flags and don't just go for kills unless allies are bad. I'll try to do that more often, thanks. To all you retards who are saying BF > MW or MW > BF etc. They are 2 different games. One takes the more realistic approach (Modern Warfare) and the other takes a more light-hearted/arcade
