Plug the scart end into the DVD as normal and then plug the HDMI end into the New TV. Not a cable, converting analogue to digital requires a adc (analogue digital converter). Needs an active device like this. Getting close to the price of a cheap DVD player with upscaling.
RAD2X adapter if you want to display ONLY the saturn on flat tvs. Yep, I do also have a Dreamcast but I found a decent HDMI adapter which worked well on our previous TV. Thanks for your replies, looks like the RetroTink 2X Scart is the best overall option! One last question; the specs mention requiring an RGB scart cable - is the original Sega
Get one with one Group A input and one Group E input and you should be in business. Otherwise you are going to need a form of TV tuner on the cable box output to convert the cable signal (s) to a format suitable for SCART. Which is where the old VCR can come in. Plug it's aerial into the cable and a SCART to the TV.
Ideally, you want to connect your N64 to your HDTV via RCA composite connectors (AV IN 2 in photo) or a SCART port (AV IN 1 in photo). A SCART to RCA adapter will be required for this task. An N64 can be connected to an AV connection on the back of a television. In addition, you can also connect the N64 directly to the TV’s antenna connector.
Not a problem, first you need to buy the following items, 1. a Scart adapter (out) 2. a set of RCA leads ( these are Red/White/Yellow male connectors ) Then you need to buy a, USB 2.0 Video Capture Kit ( £10 on Ebay) this comes with CD instructions. Plug it all together and it's all the way. good luck. Ordered list.

Respectable. The cable with the RCA connectors disconnects on the back of the Wii. You then plug the adapter into this port. Then, you connect an HDMI cable to the adapter and to the HDMI input on the TV.

Just had a Virgin technician visit over newly installed 360. Reckons no one else has ever asked about the SCART out socket. I want to connect to kitchen TV with the same SCART cable the old V6 did. He thinks there will be no harm to box if I can get the correct 9 pin DIN to Scart cable. Has anybody else tried this?
If you have a TV without a SCART socket and wish to receive digital TV you should try the Micro Freeview Receiver from TVonics. The MFR-200 is very small, and has all the functions of a standard freeview box. I tried it and it worked first time. Cheaper than some others at under £40. Welcome to the forum.
Connect the Cables. First, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your DVD player. Then, connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your smart TV. If your DVD player or TV doesn’t have an HDMI port, you can use a composite or component cable instead. Connect the yellow, red, and white RCA cables to the corresponding ports
