Each has its strengths—the I think 24-105 is a great choice for full-frame. For APS-C, I don't think 24mm is wide enough. Sony has a 16-70mm f/4 and Fuji has a 16-80mm f/4; those are basically the same field of view on APS-C as the 24-105 on full-frame, and they are made for APS-C, so they are more compact.

I got a Canon EOS R6 together with a 24-105 RF lens a few weeks ago. About a week ago, I started to notice a fairly audible noise when using the camera with the 24-105. I think the noise is coming from the whirring of the motors during autofocus, since when I switch to manual focus the sound goes away. I should note I did not hear these noises Maybe in 2014 Canon might release the 24-105mm f/2.8 IS. it was a result of a defective "Power Aperture Diaphragm Shutter Unit For Canon 24-105MM F/4L IS USM"

The RF 24-105mm f/4L has optical image stabilization built in, and it works quite well. Canon rates the IS to around 5 stops of stabilization, and I’ve generally gotten between 4 and 5 stops of shake reduction when using it on the EOS R and EOS RP. This allows for shots of around 1/6-1/4 second at 105mm, which is excellent.
