Looking at buying an 8th generation. Need comments and info. Found some older posts here suggesting focusing on 2011 - 2012 models for reliability. This probably means the car will have 100-115K or so miles. I am looking to avoid CVT they all seem troublesome so probably a V6 if I get past
Hard start issue. My Accord will intermittently not start up right away after sitting for an hour or so. Car info is in my signature. I’ll crank it over for 3-4 seconds and it won’t start, then release and try it again with a crank no start again. Then I’ll turn the key off and attempt it again and it’ll start up right away.

ECT2 should be in lower rad tank (Thats were mine is on 08 2.4L), next to lower rad hose. you need to get under car and probably remove/lower plastic shroud/cover.
An engine mount that has gone bad will begin to exhibit a clunking sound. This sound will be most noticeable when putting your Accord in and out of gear, when the engine shifts, as well as when you accelerate or de-accelerate abruptly. This clunking comes from the mount being worn and having enough play to move when the force suddenly changes.
Only thing I would suggest would be to keep the power steering fluid changed & coolant. You may want to get a top end / injector cleaning done to clean out any carbon build up. Honda recommended 4 d/f's for a trans. fluid change, it gets you 92% newer fluid. 2004 4cyl. EX Sedan automatic 607K - 2017 EX automatic 22K.

walhaddi. Take the chip off the HONDA key, and take the chip off the TSX Key and solder the HONDA chip to the TSX board and see if the board will work. You never know, it might be that easy because the chip has the frequency information on it. You won't lose anything because the people that got the TSX key to work on the sedan DIDN'T use the
3. Keep at 40MPH or more, 2,3,4 gears appear to be the most noticeable shifts. 4. Drive aggressively. 5. Kick on cruise control, the computer seems to know best how to drive the car! There may still be hesitation but is rare.
