Our Ceed CRDi did a regen every 250 miles for the 5 years we owned the car. At 60 mph on the motorway (about 1900 rpm) it would take about 15 miles/15 minutes to complete. Speed up to 70 mph and 2220 rpm and the regen would take slightly longer (both distance and time).

I have a Kia Sportage AWD 2016 CRDi2.0 Diesel with 75K km and 1 month ago I encounter for the first time the DPF warning. From the first time I have taken it to KIA Service center and as per them they have regenerate it from their side. After 2-3 days the warning came back on.

Ford also scheduled a replacement DPF every 6 years or 75,000 miles at a cost of over £1000. Made buying the Ceed an easy decision especially since it was not fitted with a DPF, was cheaper and better equipped with the 7 year warranty.
